What is the greatest moment/accomplishment in Towson golf history?
TOWSON, Md. – The Tiger Athletic program recently wrapped up a 2011-12 season filled with highlights. From a pair of Colonial Athletic Association championships to miraculous last second comebacks to records being broken, the Tigers had a little bit of everything happen.
Next week, the Tigers will begin counting down the Top Ten moments from the 2011-12 season as voted on by various members of the staff. Before the countdown starts, Towsontigers.com wanted to give fans a chance to select their top moment from the past school year.
The fans’ choices include:
1. Women’s Soccer earned its first ever win over Loyola in the season opener.
2. Katie Lingmai threw the ninth no-hitter in program history and second of her career in a 2-0 victory over Drexel.
3. President of the United States Barack Obama and the First Family being in attendance at the Tiger men’s basketball team’s home opener against Oregon State.
4. Goalkeeper Mary Teeters and the Tiger women’s lacrosse team defense held a one-goal lead despite playing man-down for the final 1:45 to clinch the CAA title.
5. Terrance West rushed for 261 yards and scored four touchdowns, leading the Tigers to a 56-42 victory over CAA-leading New Hampshire in their final regular season home game.
