HUNT VALLEY, Md. – Towson University Director of Athletics Mike Waddell was on hand Monday at The Ken Singleton Celebrity Golf Classic, a tournament designed to raise money for the Cool Kids Foundation, a charitable organization in Baltimore designed to raise money for children with cancer.

“Towson Athletics enjoys its association with The Cool Kids Foundation,” Waddell said. “Ken Singleton has dedicated his post-playing career to helping others and we are pleased to lend a helping hand in the Baltimore community.”

Singleton, a former player for the Baltimore Orioles who played for the organization from 1975-84, has hosted the tournament since 2009. Attendees who have participated in the event in the past include former Orioles Jim Palmer, Rick Dempsey and Al Bumbry, among others. Singleton serves on the Board of Directors for the organization.

The Cool Kids Foundation was founded in 2004 and is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for pediatric oncology patients and their families. To donate to the organization, click here.
