Good morning Tiger Nation and welcome to the Morning Roar.

Let’s Unleash the Roar

Yesterday afternoon @Towson_WLAX took on UMBC inside UMBC Stadium and the Tigers left with an 11-8 victory over their cross-town rivals. The Tigers got a huge performance on the offensive end from two of their seniors, Kelly Custer and Olivia Turner. Custer found the back of the net four times for the Tigers while Turner had a hat trick of her own. Kelsea Donnelly stepped up in the cage for the Tigers in a big way. Donnelly made 10 key saves to help the Tigers secure their first victory of the season. Towson will play its home opener on Saturday when the Tigers welcome in the seventh ranked Loyola Greyhounds to Johnny Unitas Stadium at 1 p.m. The game can be heard on the Towson Sports Network as Kate Mills and I will have the call.

Thursday only means one thing, Tiger Talk. Fans can join hosts Spiro Morekas and Damon Lewis as they host another edition of Tiger Talk from Bill Bateman’s Bistro in Towson from 6-7 p.m. Morekas and Lewis will be joined on tonight’s show by @Towson_MLAX head coach Shawn Nadelen and @Towson_MBB head coach Pat Skerry. If you can’t make it out to Batemans, you can catch the show live on the Towson Sports Network via TowsonTigers.com or the Towson Tigers App on your smart phone/tablet.

By now you should know about the hot start to the season that @Towson_BASE has jumped out too. The Tigers are 4-2, which is the best start in the programs last 11 years. The Tigers have only played in the state of Louisiana and it has been good to them. In the latest edition of A View From Kent Road, Milton Kent takes an inside look at the baseball team's hot start.

Hardwood Talk

It is game day for @Towson_WBB as they host Northeastern inside the Towson Center for their second to last game in the building. The Tigers are coming off a 79-45 loss to James Madison back on February 21 while the Huskies are coming off a 67-52 win at UNCW on Feb. 24. Freshman guard Dominique Johnson has been playing lights out as of late and has bumped her average up to 9.3 points per game to go along with 3.2 assists per contest. Tip is set for 7 p.m. but if you can’t make it to the Towson Center you can hear the game on the Towson Sports Network as Ray Rogowski and Ben Rosenbaum have the call.
