Tiger women's soccer assistant coach Albert Oni has been named as the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) Eastern Conference Coach of the Year, it has been announced by WPSL officials.

Oni, who is in his second season as an assistant coach at Towson, led the ASA Chesapeake Charge to a 5-1-4 record and the Eastern Conference final before losing to Boston Aztec. During the season, the team won six straight matches, including a pair of play-off victories against Northeast Division winner CFC Passion and the New York Fury, which won the Mid-Atlantic Division. It marked the team's second straight postseason appearance.

In addition, the ASA Chesapeake Charge also qualified for the USASA National Semi-Finals.
