TOWSON, Md.- Towson senior Jeanne Ball has been honored as Co-Colonial Athletic Association Diver of the Week, it has been announced by CAA officials. She will share the award with James Madison's Kimberly Helfrich.
Ball, a native of Rockville, Md., was part of a record-setting performance at the Potomac Relay Invitational. Her score of 290.85 in the three meter event broke Georgetown University’s pool record. Ball was also runner-up to teammate Caroline Baker in the one meter dive. Ball posted a score of 277.10.
“I could not have been more proud of Jeanne,” Diving Coach Maureen Mead said. “She was calm, confident, and consistent throughout the competition.”
Ball helped the Tigers to a first place overall team finish at the Potomac Relay Invitational. The team will return to action Saturday, Oct. 8 when they travel to CAA rival William & Mary. The meet will begin at 1:00 p.m.
