In their first six games, the Tigers have compiled a plus-four turnover ratio, a mark that ranks second in the Colonial Athletic Association behind Maine (plus-nine). Not so coincidentally, the Tigers and the Black Bears are tied for first place in the CAA.

In six games, the Tigers have turned the ball over eight times while forcing 12 turnovers.  The Tigers have thrown five interceptions and lost three fumbles. Ironically, half of the Tigers' turnovers came in the second half of a 28-3 loss at Maryland. The Tigers, who did not turn the ball over against Richmond, have recovered eight fumbles and intercepted four passes.

Safety Jordan Dangerfield and Nick Oates have one interception each while linebackers Alexander DiSanzo and Kenton Powell have also intercepted passes.. Powell's interception at Old Dominion clinched the Tigers' come-from-behind victory.
