TOWSON, Md. - After shooting a combined 34.6 percent (17-49) from the free throw line over the previous two games, the Tigers showed remarkable improvement Tuesday night against Manhattan, converting 25-33 attempts. The 75.8 percent clip is the highest in a game this season for the Tigers. The 25 made free throws is also a season-high in a single game.
Three Tigers made five free throws each against the Jaspers, a group that includes Jervon Pressley, Marcus Damas and Erique Gumbs.
Gumbs and Damas were both 5-6 from the line, while Pressley was 5-7.
Pressley's effort was a part of a season-high nine points in only 17 minutes of play.
