TOWSON, Md. - Senior forward Robert Nwankwo, one of the premier defenders in the Colonial Athletic Association, is establishing himself as one of the all-time best rebounders and shot-blockers in Towson program history.
Following a dominating effort against Georgia State in which he recorded six blocks, Nwankwo now has 192 in his career, the third best all-time total at the school. He trails only Pat McKinley (229) and John James (244) on the Towson career leaderboard.
However, Nwankwo has also proven to be a skilled rebounder and recently passed Junior Hairston for the sixth-most in Tiger history. Now with 630 rebounds in his career, Nwankwo needs just 65 more to pass Larry Witherspoon for fifth place on the school's all-time list.
