TOWSON, Md. - Junior catcher Andrew Parker, who had been slumping for most of the early part of the season, broke out of his slump over the weekend as he led the Tigers to a pair of Colonial Athletic Association victories over Old Dominion University. In the three-game series, he batted .615 with eight hits in 13 at bats. He also had a double, three home runs and six runs batted in.
In the Tigers' 14-10 win in the series opener, he had three hits, including a pair of two-run homers. In the second game, he had two of the Tigers' five hits in a 7-0 loss. In the series finale on Sunday, he had three more hits, including a solo homer. In the tenth inning, he drove home the game-winning run with a walk-off single as the Tigers pulled out a 4-3 win.
With a 9-6 CAA record, the Tigers are part of a three-way tie for third place in the CAA.
