HOME SWEET HOME: Towson finally began its home season this past weekend with a pair of Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) contests against Old Dominion and William & Mary. The Tigers played their entire non-conference schedule as well as their first two CAA games on the road. This marked the longest continuous stretch in program history Towson has spent on the road. In 2010, the Tigers played their first home match on Sept. 24 against William & Mary, falling to the Tribe 3-2. Towson is now 13-8 all-time in home openers.

WINNING: The Tigers picked up their first win of the season on Friday, Sept. 28 when they defeated Old Dominion 3-1. Juniors Alex Evitts and Emily Banes and sophomore Sofia Read all scored for the Tigers in the victory. It was Towson's first multi-goal game of the year.

A FIRST: Junior Alex Evitts scored her first career goal in the ODU victory. The defender from Hollywood, Md. recorded her first three shots in 2011. She took four in the match against the Lady Monarchs. Just before the first half ended on Friday, Evitts received a pass from junior Katie Holtzapple and beat the ODU keeper to the middle.

TEAM HIGHS: Towson recorded several team season highs against the Lady Monarchs. The nine total points scored from goals and assists, the three goals scored and three assists tallied and 10 corner kicks earned were all season single-game highs for the Tigers. Towson's 18 shots were the second-most recorded in a single game this year, behind 22 at Navy on Sept. 9.

ROARING TWENTIES: The number 20 popped up twice this weekend. Senior Cheyenne Skidmore's assist on Sofia Read's goal against ODU was Skidmore's 20th career assist. She had nine last season and five each her freshman and sophomore years. Sophomore Erin Quinn made a total of 20 saves this weekend in the two matches, including a career-best 12 in the loss to the Tribe.
