Freshman Sarah Bonney sits down with TowsonTigers.com for a brief chat. Bonney has played in 10 of Towson's 13 matches so far this season.
1. Why did you choose to play for Towson?
I chose to play for Towson because I like what the soccer program has to offer. I knew that Towson would be a perfect fit for me academically and athletically. I get the opportunity to play every day with the most talented soccer players I know at a highly competitive level. I don't regret my decision at all.
2. What's one thing you're really looking forward to this school year (soccer-related or not)?
I am definitely looking forward to meeting even more people this year. The friends I have made over the past two months have helped me greatly with the transition from high school to college. Also, I am looking forward to our upcoming conference games this season. I am confident that we will qualify into the CAA Tournament and be very successful.
3. If you could trade places with any other person for a week, famous or not, living or dead, real or fictional, with who would it be and why?
I would trade places with Oprah Winfrey. She is an influential woman worldwide and has impacted millions of lives. Oprah has traveled the world, which is something I have always wanted to do - enjoying life while making a difference.
4. Which athlete (professional, college or otherwise) do you admire most and why?
I admire Alex Morgan because she is one of the most talented and hard-working athletes in women's soccer. Alex demonstrates that with passion and determination, anything is possible. She made it so far in her soccer career at such a young age and is someone any athlete can look up to.
5. If someone wrote your biography, what would the title be?
I have always wanted my biography to be titled, "Bend it like Bonney". It can truly depict everything about me, including my soccer career.
