GREENVILLE, N.C. - Led by three individual victories by junior Brooke Golden, the Tiger women's swimming and diving team extended its win streak to nine straight dual meets by sweeping a four-team meet at East Carolina University on Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers, who improved to 4-0 on the season, defeated Campbell by a 252-42 margin. They also earned a 235-65 victory over Marshall while edging host East Carolina by a 163-137 score.

"It was a good, tough meet for our women today," Towson Coach Pat Mead said. "The meet was a lot closer than the scores might indicate. Again, it came down to our performance in the second half of the meet and I thought we did well."

After the Tigers took first place in th 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:47.70, Golden earned the first of her victories by completing the 1000-yard freestyle in 10:24.91. Junior Kayla Zeller followed in second place with a time of 10:27.79.

Golden earned her second win of the meet in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:03.42 while senior Jordan Crosby was second in the event with a mark of 2:05.95. Freshman Adrienne Phillips also had a solid performance in the event, finishing fourth in 2:08.46.

Budner earned second place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 51.41 seconds while senior Robin Glaser and sophomore Erica Hall followed in third and fourth places, respectively.

Junior Megen Donovan won the 200-yard breaststroke event with a time of 2:21.76 as the Tigers claimed three of the top four spots. Then, Golden earned her third win with a strong effort in the 500-yard freestyle, posting a time of 4:56.84 to finish ahead of Zeller, who was second with a mark of 4:58.30.

Czarnecki turned in a time of 57.25 seconds to place first in the 100-yard butterfly while Crosby finished second less than a second later. Budner and Czarnecki claimed the top two spots in the 200-yard individual medley before the Tigers took second place in the 400-yard freestyle relay to end the meet.
