HARRISONBURG, Va. - James Madison dropped the first set of the match but rallied for a 3-1 win over the Tigers on Saturday evening in Colonial Athletic Association play. The Tigers (8-16, 1-8 CAA) were led by Alysha Fanning who had 10 kills and five blocks including the 400^th of her career.

"Despite not getting the outcome we wanted tonight, I thought we did a number of things better involving passing and the offense," said Coach Paul Koncir. "Alysha has been the heart and soul of our team for four-years despite injuries and ups and downs, she has been the leader we needed her to be and she has left her legacy on this program already."

The Tigers hit .484 in the first set and battled through 21 ties to claim a 27-25 victory and the early lead in the match. The Dukes tied the match with a 25-21 victory in the second set. James Madison extended its lead with a 25-19 victory in the third set. The Dukes took the match with a 25-19 win in the fourth set.

Fanning had 10 kills as she hit .316 for the match and added seven digs. Her five blocks gave her 404 for her career. She is the fifth Tiger to reach the 400 block plateau for her career. Evan Schulz just missed a "double-double" on the night as she posted 19 assists and nine digs. Susan Gansor had six kills and a team-high six blocks while Missy Rohrbaugh finished with 17 digs. Katee Luecke had 17 assists while Shelynne Hoyt contributed nine kills and four blocks.

Lindsay Callahan and Danielle Erb posted "double-doubles" in the match to lead the way for the Dukes. Callahan finished with 14 kills and 11 digs while Erb posted 12 kills and 11 digs. Megan Wiechmann posted 44 assists while Natalie Abel had 14 digs.

Towson returns home on Friday, October 30 when it hosts William & Mary at 7 p.m.
