TOWSON, Md. - Single-game tickets for the Tiger men's and women's basketball season are available starting today. The men's schedule features 15 home games including a visit by perennial conference power, George Mason on January 23. The women's schedule features 13 home games including a December 10 visit by Maryland.
The visit by George Mason is part of an action packed men's-promotional schedule. Highlights of the promotional schedule include "Blackout" Night when UMBC visits the Towson Center on December 2, Mascot Mayhem against George Mason and "Gold Rush" on February 10 against UNC Wilmington. The promotional schedule also includes appearances by the pom squad and post-game autograph sessions. Tickets for men's games in advance are $10 for adults and $6 for kids. The day of the game tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for kids. Towson students and staff can attend the game for free by showing their OneCard. Group tickets can be purchased for $5 in advance through the Towson Marketing Department.
Fans of Tiger men's basketball can also purchase a mini-ticket plan to attend four games for the price of three. Games on the men's mini-plan include January 23 against George Mason, February 6 against James Madison, February 13 vs. Georgia State and February 27 against Delaware.
In December, fans can help spread a little bit of holiday cheer by participating in the "Toys for Tots" program. At all men's and women's games in the month of December, except for the Bowling Green and Maryland games, fans who bring a toy to the game will receive free parking and a voucher for a group rate ticket to the game ($5 for men's games and $2 for women's games). The drive will be run in conjunction with the United States Marine Corps' initiative.
Maryland's visit to the Towson Center as part of the women's schedule not only brings a team that was nationally ranked last year to town but it will also be "Pack the House" night as the Tigers try to set a new attendance record. Other highlights of the women's schedule include a special 11:30 am start on January 21 against UNC Wilmington as the middle school system of Baltimore County will be in attendance as part of an Education Day. Girl Scout Day will by January 24 against Old Dominion and fans attending the game on February 7 will be seeing pink as the Tigers do their part to raise breast cancer awareness during the Pink Zone game. Other highlights include a Father-Daughter Day and National Girl and Women in Sports Day. In addition fans of women's basketball will want to be in attendance to see if senior Shanae Baker-Brice can make history. Baker-Brice enters the year just 290 points shy of the school record for career scoring. Tickets for the women's games are $5 for adults and $3 for kids. Towson students and staff can attend the game for free by showing their OneCard. Group tickets can be purchased for $2 in advance through the Towson Marketing Department.
