Sophomore Cari Czarnecki and the Tigers will look to extend a pair of win streaks this weekend at Delaware.

NEWARK, Del. - Returning to action after a two-week break, the Tiger women's swimming and diving team makes the short trip to the University of Delaware on Friday for a Colonial Athletic Association Pod Meet. The meet, which features the host Blue Hens, UNC Wilmington and George Mason, will begin on Friday with a single session before two sessions on Saturday.

The Tigers have been idle since sweeping a four-team meet at East Carolina on October 24. Junior Brooke Golden won three individual events to lead the Tigers to the victories, which extended their dual meet win streak to nine straight meets. She won the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:24.91 before taking first place in the 200-yard butterfly with a mark of 2:03.42.

Golden ended the afternoon by winning the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:56.84.

Junior Meredith Budner led a strong Tiger effort in the 200-yard freestyle by winning the event with a time of 1:50.38. Sophomore Cari Czarnecki, who was the CAA Co-Swimmer of the Week two weeks ago, continued her strong start to the season with a first place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke, touching the wall in 1:04.22.

Junior Megen Donovan won the 200-yard breaststroke event with a time of 2:21.76 as the Tigers claimed three of the top four spots. Then, Golden earned her third win with a strong effort in the 500-yard freestyle, posting a time of 4:56.84 to finish ahead of Zeller, who was second with a mark of 4:58.30.

Czarnecki turned in a time of 57.25 seconds to place first in the 100-yard butterfly while Crosby finished second less than a second later. Budner and Czarnecki claimed the top two spots in the 200-yard individual medley before the Tigers took second place in the 400-yard freestyle relay to end the meet.

Sophomore Caroline Baker took second place in the one-meter diving event in the multi-team meet at East Carolina by scoring 231.80 points. She also placed second in the three-meter event with a score of 254.45 points.

The Tigers will also be looking to extend their dual meet win streak against CAA opponents to 19 straight meets. They are 1-0 in the CAA this season after a victory over William & Mary in October.
