Tigers Fall at Northeastern 3-2

BOSTON, Mass. - The Tigers fell at Northeastern 3-2 in Colonial Athletic Association action on Sunday afternoon. Towson (8-21, 1-13 CAA) saw Amanda Halls post her third straight "double-double" in the season finale.

The Tigers found themselves in an early hole as Northeastern battled through four lead changes to claim a 25-19 win in the first set. Towson bounced back in the second set as the Tigers claimed a 25-22 victory to tie the match at 1-1. The two teams battled through five ties in the third set before Towson claimed a 25-20 victory. The Huskies tied the match with a 25-17 win in the fourth set. Northeastern took the match with a 15-6 win in the fifth set.

Halls posted 12 kills and 14 digs to go along with a pair of service aces and a pair of blocks. Katee Luecke contributed 25 assists and six digs while Missy Rohrbaugh had 16 digs. Rohrbaugh moved into eighth place on the Tigers' career digs list with 1,090 digs. Alysha Fanning finished with six kills and a season-high six blocks. Kelsey Hoefer and Taylor Hawkins came off the bench to contribute seven kills apiece.

Britney Brown finished with a "triple-double" to lead the Huskies. She had 20 kills, 19 assists and 10 digs. Jessica Tkachuk had 29 assists and 10 digs for her "double-double". Jillian Robinson posted 15 kills while Leah Neubeck contributed 20 digs.

The Tigers lose Fanning and Rohrbaugh to graduation but return a strong group of returners for next season.
