TOWSON, Md. - Tickets for the Towson University Football Banquet, scheduled for Sunday, December 13 at the Sheraton Towson, are still on sale and can be purchased by calling the Football Office at (410) 704-3155. Tickets can be purchased for $37.00 for adults and $25.00 for children under the age of 12. The dinner will start at 5:00 p.m.
When the Tigers hold their annual Football Banquet, they will celebrate the first season of Coach Rob Ambrose's tenure as their head coach. They will also recognize their graduating seniors and honor some special award winners.
In addition to naming the winners of some traditional team awards, like the Doc Minnegan Most Valuable Player, there will be a number of new awards initiated. Tom Coard, '00 will be honored as the winner of the first Service To Tiger Football Award while Gary Kimmel, '72 will be the first recipient of the Tiger Football Alumni Dedication Award.
The winners of the first Scout Team Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year will be announced, along with the Tiger Scholar-Athlete Award. Towson will also named the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year as well as the first-ever Special Teams Player of the Year.
There will also be a silent auction while there will also be a live auction for two tickets to Super Bowl 44 in South Florida. If you cannot be there in person, your bids will be accepted by texting Greg Lacour at 443-807-8930
Spiro Morekas, the Voice of the Tigers, will serve as the Master of Ceremonies for the banquet.
