BALTIMORE, Md. - When the Colonial Athletic Association holds its annual football media day on Wednesday from M&T Bank Stadium, football fans can tune in and listen to a live broadcast by the Tigers' new football radio home, FOX 1370 Sports.
Rob Long, one of the most prominent radio talk show hosts in Baltimore, will be broadcasting his morning show from CAA Football Media Day. The show runs from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
During the CAA Media Day activities. Rob Long will speaking with many of the top players and coaches in the CAA in addition to chatting with Towson Coach Rob Ambrose and CAA Commissioner Tom Yeager.
Widely regarded as the top NCAA FCS conference in the nation, the CAA is stacked with a number of prominent players and teams again this season. Defending national champion Villanova has received plenty of attention in the Top 25 pre-season polls while William & Mary is also highly-regarded.
The 2008 NCAA FCS champion, Richmond, is also mentioned as a Top 25 team, along with perennial contender New Hampshire. Delaware and James Madison are hoping to return to the NCAA playoffs after missing out last season.
Since the 2003 season, four different CAA teams (Delaware in 2003, James Madison in 2004, Richmond in 2008, and Villanova in 2009) have won NCAA FCS championship.
For the 2010 season, the CAA will compete as one ten-team league as Delaware, James Madison, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Richmond, Towson, Villanova and William & Mary compete for the CAA championship.
In their second season under the direction of Coach Ambrose, the Tigers are focused on climbing the CAA standings this season.
