The clinic promises to be a great opportunity for women to increase their knowledge of football, learn the rules of the game, mingle with the Tiger football staff and have some fun.
The "Football 101" Clinic will take place from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the Towson University campus. Women should report to the Minnegan Room in the Field House adjacent to Johnny Unitas ® Stadium for check-in starting at 8:30 a.m.
This clinic allows female football fans to learn the basic fundamentals and terminology of football. Instruction will be led by Coach Rob Ambrose and his staff with the support of volunteers from the Baltimore Chapter of the National Football Foundation.
The "Football 101" Clinic for Women was quite a success last year and a larger number of women are expected to participate this year.
The event includes a light breakfast and a lunch with the coaches. Each participant will also receive two (2) tickets to the Tigers' season opener against Morgan State on Saturday, September 3 at 7 p.m. in Unitas Stadium.
Another popular feature to the event is the opportunity for participants to sit in on the Tiger football team's meetings and observe practice with the coaches and players.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Baltimore Chapter of the National Football Foundation and its community outreach programs. The mission of the National Football Foundation is to promote and develop the power of amateur football by developing the qualities of leadership, sportsmanship, competitive zeal and the drive for academic excellence in America's young people.
Participants are asked to wear casual clothing for light field-level activities. Free parking for the event will be available in Lot 13 across from the stadium.
Registration is $30 and can be completed by clicking here:
