TOWSON, Md. – The Tiger tennis team begins a busy stretch of five matches in six days on Wednesday, Apr. 4. All five of the matches will be played at the Towson Center Tennis Courts.

The Tigers have won six times since beginning the spring portion of their schedule in February. Towson has three players with at least 10 singles victories this season. Sophomore Nisha Shah leads the Tigers with 12 singles’ victories while freshman Ayana Dow has 11 and junior Andrea Samlin has 10. Dow has teamed with sophomore Ariel Burke to provide a solid doubles team for Towson. The duo has recorded 12 wins together this season.

On Wednesday, Apr. 4 the Tigers host Stony Brook at 2 p.m. Stony Brook has been idle since a 5-2 win over Fairfield on Mar. 29. Nini Lagvilava and Chloe Pike each have recorded 15 singles’ victories this season.

On Thursday, Apr. 5 Towson will play Bucknell at 2 p.m. The Bison have lost eight straight coming into Thursday’s action. Elena Vidrascu has nine singles wins for Bucknell this season.

On Saturday, Apr. 7 the Tiger will play a pair of matches. Towson will face Coppin State at 9 a.m. and Howard at 1 p.m.

The Tigers wrap up their current home stand on Monday, Apr. 8 when they host George Mason for a Colonial Athletic Association contest at 3 p.m.
