TOWSON, Md. - As the brand new Tiger Arena continues to race towards completion, Monday will prove to be a milestone day as the final truss is being put in place.
After this last piece of steel is in place, the crew will begin to close the roof in the coming weeks. The seating in the upper bowl section of the arena will also be done by Monday.
"The last piece of steel will be delivered and erected all in the matter of a few hours," said senior project manager Scott Guckert. "All seating concrete will also be done on the upper bowl by the end of the day Monday."
The next step will be to close in the roof. With the final truss being in place, the crew will next start putting the actual roofing on in the coming weeks.
As of Monday, June 11 the countdown to the first event being held in Tiger Arena is down to just 415 days!
