A 2012 graduate of Towson University, Sean Phelan joined the Tiger’s Fan Development Department as an intern in June 2012.
As the Fan Development Intern, Phelan will be responsible for increasing student attendance at athletic events by creating marketing plans and raising awareness of Towson’s athletic programs within the student body. Additionally, he will be working on developing a new student incentive program. Phelan will also be responsible for updating website content, social media platforms and assisting with marketing, sales, and game operation presentations.
A native of Greenlawn, NY., Phelan graduated from Towson with a B.S. in Psychology. As a senior at Towson, he worked for the Department of Athletics as a marketing assistant where he aided in the creation of various marketing plans for the Department. In addition to his work with the Athletics Department, Sean spent two years representing the resident students of Towson to the University Administration. As a senior, Phelan was awarded the President’s Award for Diversity, for his research concerning diversity in higher education, and the Tiger Pride Award, for his dedication to creating a better student experience.
