TOWSON, Md. – Towson cross country Coach Roger Erricker has announced a competitive 2012-13 schedule for the upcoming season.
“We’re excited and looking forward to it,” Erricker said. “It’s very competitive and I know we will be ready to get back and compete in some very good meets.”
The season will get underway beginning on August 31, when the Tigers will host the Baltimore Metro Meet at 4:30 p.m. The Tigers won the meet in 2011 and will look to repeat as team champions at Oregon Ridge Park this season.
The Tigers will then travel to Colonial Athletic Association counterpart Delaware Sept. 15 for the Delaware Invitational. The Tigers will wrap up September when Lehigh University hosts the Paul Short Invitational on Sept. 28 at noon.
The Tigers will make a pair of trips to Williamsburg, Va., in October. Towson will take part in the William & Mary Open on Oct. 13 and return on Oct. 27 for the Colonial Athletic Association Championship. Towson will go to Penn State on Nov. 9 for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional and conclude the season on Nov. 17 at the ECAC Meet at Van Cortlandt Park in New York.
In addition to competing in the eight meets, the Tigers will also hold an Alumni Meet Nov. 4 at the Towson Center Course beginning at 11 a.m.
