Kara Adams joined the Towson Athletics Development Staff in the summer of 2012 as the Development Intern.
Adams came to the Tigers from Howard University where she served as the football program intern since January of this year. While there she helped plan and execute events, including trips for prospects, alumni reunion weekend and football camp. Adams assisted in the coordination of the spring football game and created brochures, flyers and other marketing tools to increase awareness of the program.
Adams recently completed a graduate assistant position in the marketing department at Georgetown University. While there she conducted game operations duties (scripts, timing sheets, play lists and using the digital media scoreboards). Adams also assisted with the growth and management of the Hoya Kids Club and Hoya Rewards program for student attendance programs.
Adams holds a pair of Masters Degrees from the University of Central Florida. She earned the first in business administration in December of 2011 and one in sport business management in May 2012. While at Central Florida, she worked as an intern in both the compliance and external operations areas. She also worked as a will call representative in the Orlando Magic Box Office.
Adams received a Bachelor of Science in sport management from Howard University in May 2010. While she was an undergrad, she did an internship with the corporate sponsorship team for the Washington Wizards and served as the Diversity Affairs Intern at NASCAR.
