NORFOLK, Va. – Sophomore Tashani Dickson made 12 saves as the Towson University field hockey fell to No. 10 Old Dominion, 11-0 on Friday evening.

Sarah Breen got the Lady Monarchs started early as she scored in the fifth minute of the game. Breen’s goal was the first of seven scored by Old Dominion in the first 35 minutes of action. Breen scored a goal in the half while Rosario Villagra had a goal and three assists.

Old Dominion (9-3, 4-0 CAA) recorded 19 shots in the first half and took six penalty corners. Dickson made five saves in the first 35 minutes of action.

The Lady Monarchs scored four more times in the second half of action. Breen scored two of the four goals while Villagra also had a goal.

Sophomore Courtney Branco recorded a shot late in the second half for the Tigers that Maria Petriello was forced to make a save on.

Old Dominion out shot the Tigers 17-1 in the second half and took four the seven penalty corners. Dickson made seven saves to Petriello’s one in the second half.

Petriello was forced to make one save to earn the win in goal for the Lady Monarchs. Dickson finished with 12 saves in the loss for the Tigers (0-12, 0-3 CAA).

Towson returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 7 when it travels to William & Mary for a 1 p.m. game.
