HARRISONBURG, Va. - Reviewing the Tigers' 13-10 loss at James Madison:

DEFENSIVE STRUGGLE: Towson and James Madison came into Saturday's game as two of the top defensive teams in FCS football and the game reflected that ... The Tigers were sixth defensively while allowing 288.50 total yards per game ... JMU was seventh, allowing 291.75 yards per contest ... The Towson defense gave up only 256 total yards to the Dukes while JMU held Towson to 317 total yards.

MOVING UP THE LIST: At James Madison, sophomore Terrance West recorded the eighth 100-yard rushing game of his young career when he picked up 112 yards on 28 carries ... Terrance moved into eighth place on Towson's all-time rushing list, passing former Walter Payton Award winner David Meggett ... In 16 ga mes, he has rushed for 1,736 yards on 293 carries ... He is averaging 108.5 rushing yards per game ... He needs 133 yards to pass Larry Jones and move into eighth place ... He is just 141 yards behind Dan Ricker, who is the seventh-leading rusher in school history.

RARE CAA LOSS: When the Tigers lost to James Madison, it was only their second loss in their last 10 Colonial Athletic Association games ... The loss also ended Towson's four-game road winning streak against CAA teams ... Last year, Towson went on the road and beat Old Dominion, William & Mary, Maine and Rhode Island.

PENALTY-FREE GAME: The Tigers' 13-10 loss at James Madison was one of the most penalty-free games that they've ever played ... Towson was only penalized twice for 30 yards, both in the first half ... James Madison played a perfect game in terms of penalties ... The Dukes were not called for any penalties.

CLOSING IN ON 100-CATCHES: With four receptions for 25 yards at James Madison, senior wide receiver Tom Ryan is closing in on 100 career catches ... He now has 96 catches for 1,108 yards and six touchdowns ... He is hoping to become the 20th player in school history with 100 career catches.

TURNOVER TROUBLES: Once again, turnovers were very costly to the Tigers in their loss to James Madison ... Towson turned the ball over three times and did not force any turnovers ... The turnovers negated the Tigers' statistical advantage in first downs (18-14), rushing yards (170-140), passing yards (147-116), total yards (317-256), total plays (74-58) and time of possession (35:38-24:22).

RETURNING HOME: After playing back-to-back road games at Louisiana State and James Madison, the Tigers return to Unitas Stadium on Saturday night when they host Maine at 7:00 p.m.
