Good morning Tiger Nation and welcome to the Morning Roar.

Let’s Unleash the Roar

@Towson_SWIMDIVE racked in the awards yesterday. Swimmer Kaitlin Burke’s performance against William and Mary was good enough to earn her Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Female Swimmer of the Week honors. Her teammate, sophomore diver Lyndsey Dickson was named female diver of the week after helping the team past the Tribe 197-95.

Staying with @Towson_SWIMDIVE, men’s diver Alex Cohen kicked off his senior year where he left off last year. His strong performance against the Tribe earned him CAA Men’s Diver of the Week honors.

After coming off a 1-1 draw on Saturday @Towson_MSOC returns to the pitch later today when they travel to Hofstra to take on the Pride in another conference match-up. Hofstra is riding a two game winning streak that the Tigers will be looking to spoil.

@Towson_MBB and @Towson_WBB coaches Pat Skerry and Joe Mathews held a “Basketball 101” clinic for area fans and team supporters to help them better understand the game of basketball. Check out pictures from the event.

Everyone needs to check out this next video. It is a “helmet cam” worn by a construction worker as the team continues to construct the Tiger Arena. It is a very unique perspective of the progress that is taking place across the street from Johnny Unitas Stadium.

Countdown to Maine

We are a little over three days from seeing @Towson_FB return home to play CAA rival Maine in Johnny Unitas Stadium.

Somehow there are still student tickets available. If you haven’t claimed one yet I suggest you get on that right away because tickets are sure to go fast.

If you are coming out to the game then be sure to check out all of the pre-game activities that are scheduled to take place. It should be another great game day at the "U."

Maine’s offensive attack is lead by quarterback Marcus Wasilweski who is averaging 242 passing yards per game. Rickey Stevens is the Black Bears' leading rusher, who averages 6.1 yards per carry. However Stevens has yet to score a rushing touchdown through the first five games of the year. Maurice McDonald is the team's top pass catcher, McDonald has 33 receptions for 289 yards on the season and one score.

Tomorrow I will help you get to know the Black Bears defense a little better.

Thanks for reading another edition of the Morning Roar, be sure to check back the same time tomorrow for more. Also, be sure to follow me on twitter @ZachMaskavich
