BACK IN THE WIN COLUMN: After dropping back-to-back road games at Louisiana State and James Madison, the Tigers returned home on Saturday night and responded with a 24-19 victory over Maine … Towson is now 3-0 at Unitas Stadium this season.

CAA SUCCESS: When the Tigers beat Maine for the second year in a row, it was their ninth win in their last 11 Colonial Athletic Association games … The Tigers, who won the CAA title with a 7-1 record last season, are 2-1 in the CAA this season … They are tied for second in the CAA behind James Madison.

TURNOVER VICTORY: In the Tigers’ 24-19 win over Maine, the Tigers won the turnover battle, 2-1 … One of the key plays of the game was a Maine turnover at the Towson two-yard line in the fourth quarter … Linebacker Telvion Clark fell on the loose ball to stop the Maine drive … Freshman linebacker Bryton Barr also recovered a fumble in the first quarter … The Tigers’ lone turnover resulted in a Maine touchdown as Troy Eastman intercepted a pass and returned it 92 yards for a touchdown.

SEASON HIGH: In their win over Maine, the Tigers rolled up a seasonal high 507 yards of total offense … Towson ran for 247 yards and passed for 260 yards … Quarterback Grant Enders ran for a career high 98 yards on eight carries while Terrance West picked up 96 yards on 18 attempts.

BALL CONTROL: In the win over Maine, the Tigers controlled the clock for 34:47 ... It marked the sixth straight game that Towson had won thye battle for time of possession.

TOUGH KICKS: Junior D.J. Soven came into the Maine game with 12 field goals made in 14 tries in his college career ... However, he had the worst night of his career against the Black Bears ... He missed a 47-yard and a 37-yarder in the first half ... On the final play of the first half, his 40-yard field goal attempt hit the right upright ... In the third quarter, Soven gave the Tigers 17-10 lead when he converted a 38-yard field goal.

SPECIAL GUEST: Former Tiger offensive tackle Jermon Bushrod, an All-Pro tackle for the New Orleans Saints, took advantage of the Saints' bye week to attend the Tigers' game against Maine ... He spent the game on the sidelines.

CENTURY CLUB: Senior Tom Ryan became the 20th player in school history with 100 career receptions when he caught four passes for 85 yards against Maine.
