TOWSON, Md. - Here are the post-game notes from the Tigers' 41-10 victory over Rhode Island on Sunday.
CLIMBING THE LIST: Senior Tom Ryan had another fine performance for the Tigers in their win over Rhode Island ... He caught seven passes for 109 yards and a touchdown in his final home game ... Ryan, who has caught a pass in his last 21 games, is now 14th on Towson's career receiving list with 122 receptions for 1,466 yards and eight touchdowns.
BOOK 'EM DOMINIQUE: Senior Dominique Booker, one of 14 seniors playing in his final home game, started against Rhode Island and had the biggest game of his career ... He ran for a career high 181 yards on only seven carries, a phenomel 25.9 average ... On the opening play of the second half, Booker ran around left end and scored on an 83-yard run, the second-longest running play in school history ... Booker became the 22nd player in school history to rush for 1,000 yards and now has 1,175 rushing yards, 17th on Towson's all-time list.
BOATENG GETS A START: Graduate student Brian Boateng received the start at middle linebacker against Rhode Island with Monte Gaddis sidelined by injury ... Boateng made a seasonal high 11 tackles with one tackle for lost yardage.
LOGJAM AT THE TOP: With the Tigers' win over Rhode Island, there is a jogjam at the top of the Colonial Athletic Association ... Old Dominion (9-1, 6-1) and New Hampshire (8-2, 6-1) are tied for first but ODU isn't eligible for the CAA title ... The Tigers (5-4, 5-2) are tied for third place with Richmond (7-3, 5-2), James Madison (7-3, 5-2) and Villanova (7-3, 5-2) ... All six CAA teams are in contention for NCAA FCS playoff spots.
ENDERS NOW 2nd: Quarterback Grant Enders, who has thrown 10 touchdown passes with one interception, is second in the Colonial Athletic Association in total offense averaging 266.3 yards of offense per game.
