Despite dropping consecutive games for the first time this season, the Towson men's basketball team is still putting up some impressive numbers both offensively and defensively.
*Through seven games, Towon is averaging 66.4 points per game. That's good enough to give the Tigers the second best scoring offense in the CAA. It's also 14.9 points per game more than the Towson offense averaged during the 2011-12 season.
*The Tigers also boast the second ranked scoring defense in the CAA, giving up just 63.9 points per game. Over the last three games, Towon is giving up just 57.0 points per game.
*Towson is holding its oppenents to 39.1 percent shooting from the field, ranking the Tigers third in the league. Teams are shooting just 30.5 percent from beyond the arc against Towson.
*The Tiges have not lost the rebounding battle since the first game of the season. Towson leads the CAA with a +9.6 rebounding margin and the Tigers are corralling 42.5 percent of their offensive misses, a mark that also leads the conference.
*Towson leads the CAA averaging 5.4 blocks per game. Jerrelle Benimon, Bilal Dixon and Marcus Damas each rank in the Top 12 in the league in blocks per game.
