Stewart, a Reisterstown, Md. native who attended the Gilman School, played in 15 total events while at High Point, averaging a 74.75 in 40 rounds. Stewart carded six total rounds under par, including a school-record 65 at the 2012 Donald Ross Intercollegiate.
As a freshman, Stewart was third on the team with a 75.28 scoring average. He improved upon that during the Fall 2012 season, averaging a 73.87 and the team used all but one round of his scores.
Stewart won the 2012 Lonnie Barton Invitational, shooting rounds of 72 and 71 to win by five strokes.
Outside of the college golf circuit, Steward placed third at the 2012 Maryland Amateur Public Links championship, shooting rounds of 69 and 73. He also posted Top 15 finishes at the 2011 and 2012 Maryland Amateur Stroke Play Championships.
