HONOLULU, Hawaii - For the second year in a row, Jermon Bushrod, '07 was chosen to play in the National Football League's Pro Bowl. The former Tiger football standout was selected as a replacement for Joe Staley of San Francisco.
One of four New Orleans Saints selected to play in the Pro Bowl, he helped the NFC to a 62-35 victory over the AFC on Sunday night. The NFC offense piled up 478 total yards.
A native of King George, Va., the 6-5, 315-pound Bushrod recently completed his sixth season for the Saints. He has played in 66 career games with 62 starts. Over the last four years, he has started 62 of 63 games, including 48 consecutive starts.
Bushrod was also a four-year starter at tackle for the Tigers and was drafted in fourth round of the 2007 draft by New Orleans.
