ORMOND Beach, Fla. - Towson University freshmen Tensley Clowser and Viveka Singh tied for 12th overall to lead the Tigers to a fourth-place finish at the Gary Freeman Invitational.
Towson posted a two-day total of 671, trailing Bethune-Cookman (639), Northern Illinois (651) and Florida Atlantic (654). Hampton University (695) and Savannah State (761) rounded out the six-team field.
Clowser posted rounds of 84 and 83, while Singh shot an 83 on day one and an 84 on the final day. Clowser recorded three birdies in the tournament, tying her for the second most in the field.
Freshman Emma Hjarne fired an 82 on Monday, the best round of the weekend for a Tiger, but her 86 on Sunday placed her in 14th overall with a 168 two-day total.
Freshman Larissa Spiess (169) and redshirt freshman Kati Day (180) rounded out the scoring for the Tigers.
Towson will next be in action on March 3-5 at the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic in Kiawah Island, S.C.
