TOWSON, Md. - The Tigers won their second straight match on Tuesday, playing in front of the home fans for the first time of the month and defeating George Mason 4-0 at the Towson Center Tennis Courts.

The Tigers (11-7, 2-3 CAA) won all three doubles matches to take home the doubles point, and the match was stopped after the Tigers earned the decisive fourth, and winning, point.

"It wasn't our best match today," Towson head coach Doug Neagle said. "It was pretty ugly. But a win is a win and we'll take it."

Once again, Towson was led by freshman standout Lorena Ferrer who earned a straight set victory over Maya Hicks 6-0 and 6-1. Junior Nisha Shah and Ariel Burke also won in straight sets for Towson.

Shah defeated Kiersten Pappas 6-3, 6-1 while Burke defeated her Patriot opponent 7-5 and 6-0 to help Towson secure the victory.

The Tigers next travel to Navy tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.
