OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Delivering a high spiral to the back of the end zone, quarterback Grant Enders connected with wide receiver Gerrard Sheppard for a long touchdown pass Sunday on the final play of the Ravens' rookie minicamp.

It was like old times for the former Towson University teammates with Sheppard signed to a contract following the NFL draft and Enders attending the minicamp on a tryout basis.

The play marked the conclusion of three days of solid work by local undrafted free agents, according to coach John Harbaugh.

"It's big, it's good to see," Harbaugh said of Enders and Sheppard. "They've done such a good job over there. Coach  Rob Ambrose has done such a great job along with their staff or recruiting. I think their talent level is really at an all-time high. You can see the way they played LSU and they way they play all the big teams, the way they play in that conference, which is a good conference. They've got talented guys. Enders and Sheppard looked really good in this camp. They are NFL quality guys."

Besides the Towson players, the Ravens' local undrafted free agents included signing West Virginia offensive guard Jeff Braun (Winters Mill), Penn outside linebacker Brandon Copeland (Gilman) and University of Maryland tight end Matt Furstenburg. Furstenburg caught a touchdown Sunday from former Pitt quarterback Tino Sunseri.

"Those guys, they all played well," Harbaugh said. "They all fit, every single guy fit. Those two guys specifically, Braun and Copeland, looked really good. Big, good, athletic guys, smart players, guys that can definitely make it in the NFL.

"There's a lot of great talent. You watch the high school football, having recruited all those years in college, this is a hotbed of talent, football, basketball. There are a lot of good players plucked out of here every year."
