TOWSON, Md. – With eight days remaining before the season opener at the University of Connecticut, the Tigers held their final scrimmage of the pre-season on Wednesday afternoon.

“I thought our first team offense and our first team defense looked sharp,” he added. “We aren’t ready to win a game yet but we will be ready by next Thursday.”

On the first possession of the game, Athens drove the Tigers 75 yards in five plays for a very quick touchdown. On the drive, he completed all three pass attempts for 48 yards. He also capped off the drive with a 19-yard touchdown pass to junior Spencer Wilkins.
