CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - The Towson women's golf team sits in a tie for ninth-place after one day of play at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate.

The Tigers carded a 324 team score during the opening round of play, led by sophomore Emma Hjarne's 78. Hjarne is in a tie for 19th overall in the 83-player field.

Sophomore's Krissy Unger and Larissa Spiess each posted first round scores of 81, while classmate Viveka Singh carded an 84.

Murray State (296) leads the 14-team field with Eastern Kentucky (300) in second. Houston Baptist (311), Belmont (311) and Radford (312) round out the top five schools through one round of play.

The final round of play will get underway on Tuesday at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start.
