The Total Tiger Program takes a 360-degree view of the development of our student-athletes. The goal is to educate, advocate, mentor and serve. The program gives our Tigers opportunities to engage and interact with the Greater Baltimore area through community service and mentorships through:

  • Individual counseling, mentoring and life coaching to student-athletes
  • Establishing IMPACTFUL, meaningful, consistent, and strategic community outreach and service-learning partners for our coaches, staff, and student-athletes
  • Providing team-oriented and focused "athlete-specific life skills programs" (branding, social media management, media/interview education programming) in line with the five University priorities for the Department of Athletics in the Towson 2016 Strategic Vision.

Community ServiceWomen's Track Community Service at Furley Elementary
During the 2012-13 academic year, Tiger student-athletes, coaches, and administrators completed more than 10,000 hours of community service throughout Towson, Baltimore and the surrounding area. The department logged more than 80 school visits in the 2012-13 academic year.

Women's basketball participates in the 2013 Color Run. Our student-athletes participate in on an annual basis in the CAA "Have a Heart" Blood Drive. It was developed in 2002 by the CAA presidents as a fun way to emphasize the critical importance of donating blood. Each institution promotes the event on its own campus and encourages student groups, faculty, staff and alumni to participate and support their school.

Below are some of our featured partnerships for the 2013-14 academic year. Please click on the logos to find out more about each organization.
