The 5,000-seat Towson Center Arena was the home of men's and women's basketball, gymnastics and volleyball teams for more than three decades. Over the last 10 years, a number of improvements have been made to keep the facility top-notch.

A portable wooden floor was added along with several renovated locker rooms, an expanded varsity weight room and upgraded signage and decorated lobby and balcony areas.Towson Center

Inside the arena which has 165,000 square feet of floor space, there are classrooms, locker rooms, a research lab, a curriculum center, a fitness center, a varsity weight room, a sports medicine room, a gymnastics room, six racquetball courts and six squash courts. The facility houses nearly 75 faculty and staff members.

Over the years the Towson Center has played host to numerous events such as concerts, receptions, the Central Maryland Job Fair, the Charm City Classic high school basketball tournament, the Battle of Baltimore college basketball tournament and several NCAA Division II regional tournaments.

The Varsity Athletic Weight Room was constructed in 1999 due to the generous contributions of several individuals including NFL and TU Alumni Dave Meggett, Sean Landeta and Tony Vinson.

The weight room displays some of the finest equipment in today's market including Olympic lifting platforms, Samson squat racks, an array of Cybex strength training machines, as well as dumbbell racks up to 150 lbs.Towson Center weight room
