Hairston was recognized along with Old Dominion’s Gerald Lee, George Mason’s Cam Long and Dre Smith plus VCU’s Larry Sanders and Eric Maynor.
Maynor, the CAA’s Player of the Year, was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
Hairston becomes the first
An All-CAA third team selection after the regular season, Hairston averaged 14.0 points and 6.7 rebounds over the three tournament games. He had eight blocks. He scored a game high 24 points in the win over Drexel. At one point the Tigers led the Dragons by 26 points (36-10). That stood up as the largest lead in any game of the tournament.
