MEN'S LACROSSE: Will Harrington Named CAA Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. Junior midfielder Will Harrington of the Tiger men's lacrosse team has been named as the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week for the week ending April 19, it has been announced by CAA officials.   

It is the first weekly honor of Harrington’s career. It is the 18th time a Towson player has been honored as the CAA’s Player of the Week since joining the league in 2002.

Harrington tied a career high by scoring four goals along with an assist as the Tigers snapped a two-game losing streak with a 10-8 victory over the University of Delaware on Saturday afternoon. Harrington scored three of his goals in the second half as the Tigers broke a 4-4 tie to earn the victory.

With 18 goals and two assists, Harrington ranks second on the team with 20 points.

Now 6-7 overall and 4-2 in the CAA, the Tigers will host seventh-ranked Johns Hopkins University on Wednesday night at Johnny Unitas Stadium. Opening face-off is set for 7:35 p.m. and the game will be broadcast in the Baltimore area on WTMD-FM 89.7 with Spiro Morekas and Greg LaCour providing the play-by-play.
