TOWSON, Md. – Towson University athletic media relations assistant director Eric Rhew has been cited by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for excellence in the publishing of the Tigers’ 2009 men’s and women’s lacrosse media guides.

Navy’s men’s book earned top honors. Virginia’s men’s lacrosse guide ranked fourth while Ohio State’s men’s book was fifth in CoSIDA’s annual rating of publications.

Both publications were designed under the supervision of Chris Komisar of the University’s Design Center with assistance from Jay Neighbours.

Rhew is in his third year with the Tigers’ athletic media relations office. Fast becoming an authority on the sport of lacrosse, he recently collaborated with a NCAA panel that published the first written statistician’s manual for women’s lacrosse. He has served as the media coordinator for the past two NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse Championships hosted by Towson in Johnny Unitas Stadium.

In addition to men’s and women’s lacrosse, Rhew is Towson’s media relations contact for men’s and women’s soccer and the Tigers’ swimming and diving teams.
