TOWSON, Md. - During the 2008-09 athletic year, fans of Tiger Athletics certainly had a lot to cheer about. With so many memorable moments, it was certainly a good year to be a Towson Tiger. So, TowsonTigers.com has decided to take a look back at some of the top moments from this past year.

It was a difficult task to narrow all the achievements of the 2008-09 season down to ten.The list, which was compiled by TowsonTigers.com, was originally narrowed to 30, then to 15. It was then cut down to a top 10 with five honorable mentions.

Here are the five honorable mentions for the 2008-09 Athletic year:

5. Infielder Gary Helmick's record setting season
4. Women's basketball's first win over James Madison in 25 years
3. Football team's historic first game against Navy
2.  The men's lacrosse team dominating performance in the CAA semi final game against Drexel
and the top honorable mention story of 2008-09:
1. Head softball coach Lisa Costello's 400th win as a Tiger
