TOWSON, Md. - The Tigers return to Schuerholz Park on Tuesday afternoon to open a five-game home stand. Now 6-7 on the year, the Tigers will play Buffalo at 3:00 p.m.

All five games will be available on LiveStats.

For Buffalo, this is the third game of a seven-game road trip through the Middle Atlantic region. Buffalo started the trip at Coppin State on Saturday and beat the Eagles, 8-1. On Sunday, the Bulls outslugged Long Island, 27-13. After today’s game, the Bulls will visit UMBC, LaSalle, St. Joseph’s and Villanova.

Buffalo opened its season with five losses in a row, dropping three games at Kentucky. After losing two in a row at Morehead State, Buffalo won the final two games of the series. The Bulls come into today’s game with a 4-6 record.

The Bulls are a very talented offensive team with a .338 team batting average. In their first 10 games, the Bulls scored 104 runs and blasted 20 home runs.

The Tigers, who opened their Colonial Athletic Association schedule over the weekend, will be trying to extend their Schuerholz Park winning streak. The Tigers are 3-0 at home and have pitched two shutouts. Last Wednesday, seven Tigers teamed up to throw a two-hit shutout at UMBC. Towson has outscored its opponents by a 26-2 margin at home.

Sophomore Dominic Fratantuono continues to lead the Tigers in hitting. He has a .405 batting average with three doubles, two triples and one home run with six RBI’s.

Sophomore second baseman Pat Fitzgerald, who missed the first two weeks of the season while recovering from surgery, has been one of the Tigers’ top hitters. In seven games, he is hitting .389 with a .476 on-base percentage. He has scored six runs and has four RBI’s.

After the game against Buffalo, the Tigers return to action on Wednesday afternoon when they host George Washington at 3:00 p.m. Over the weekend, the Tigers face George Mason in a three-game CAA series at Schuerholz Park.
