Wrapping up the Home Stand: The Tiger women's basketball team wraps up its three-game home stand when it hosts UNC Wilmington on Sunday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. in SECU Arena.

Series History: Sunday’s game marks the return of the Tigers’ southern neighbors as UNC Wilmington visits SECU Arena.
UNC Wilmington holds a 13-9 edge in the series that began during the 2001-02 season when the Tigers joined the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). Towson swept the season series last year to snap a five-game win streak by the Seahawks. Towson earned a 55-53 win at home last year and followed it up with a 66-57 win in Wilmington.

Notes On Nyree: Redshirt senior forward Nyree Williams turned in a solid performance for the Tigers on Thursday night. Williams poured in a season-high 15 points, 13 of which came in the second half as the Tigers attempted a comeback. She added nine rebounds, tied her career-high with five assists and blocked two shots for a well rounded performances.

Taking Charity: Sophomore guard Dominique Johnson continues to make the most of her chances from the foul line this season. Johnson went 4-for-4 from the foul line against James Madison. She is 35-for-39 from the line this season and her 89.7% free throw percentage ranks first in the CAA entering play this weekend. Johnson is a perfect 16-for-16 from the foul line in the last five games for the Tigers. This is Johnson’s second streak of 15 or more free throws made consecutively this season. Earlier this year she made 19 straight from the charity stripe.

60 Is Our Magic Number: 60 has proven to be an important number for the Tigers on the scoreboard this season. Towson is 8-2 this season when the Tigers score 60 points or more in a game. Towson scored a season-high 76 points in the win over LIU Brooklyn in December. 60 has also proven to be an important number to the Tiger defense. Towson is 6-2 this season when it holds an opponent to 60 points or less in a game. The Tigers held Manhattan to 43 points earlier this year, their season-low in points allowed.

Up Next: The Tigers hit the road for games at College of Charleston and William & Mary following Sunday's game. Towson will be back in SECU Arena on Sunday, Feb. 2 when the Tigers host Delaware at 2 p.m.
