RICHMOND, Va. - Sophomore midfielder Tabi Hatch from Towson University has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Field Hockey Player of the Week for the week ending October 17, it has been announced by CAA officials.

This is the first time in her career that Hatch has earned player of the week honors. She is the first Tiger to earn player of the week honors since Katie DeFilippo was last October 19.

Hatch had a big week to help the Tigers stage a pair of come-from-behind victories. On Monday against Pacific, Hatch and the Tigers found themselves in a 2-0 hole in the first half. She would score a pair of goals before halftime to tie the game 2-2. Late in the second half, Hatch assisted on what turned out to be the game-winning goal. On Sunday against Georgetown the Tigers found themselves trailing at the half, 2-1. Hatch's second half goal allowed the visitors to tie the game and send it to overtime where the Tigers earned the win.

Hatch finished the week with three goals and one assist for seven points. On the season, she leads the team with six goals and two assists for 14 points

Hatch and the Tigers (7-8, 1-4 CAA) return to action on Friday, October 22 when they host Delaware at 6 p.m.
