HUNT VALLEY, Md. - Member of the Towson University Department of Athletics were among the 30,000 people who participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Sunday morning.

The Tigers' "Pink PAWS" team was composed of 115 members and included members of the athletic department staff and the various teams. The group raised $10,245 to help support breast cancer research.

Towson's team was captained by Assistant Director of Athletics for Academic Achievement Bobbi Madison, who is a breast cancer survivor.

"I am very proud of the Pink Paws team and in its first year to have 115 team members and raise $10,245 is quite a feat," said Madison. The athletes, coaches, staff and administration has always supported me in all aspects with the fight against breast cancer and this is another amazing accomplishment that Towson Athletics can be proud of!"
