Hello Tiger Nation, I’m Zach Maskavich and this is the Morning Roar.

When @Towson_FB players and coaches arrived on campus yesterday, they were greeted by quite a nice treat, a brand-new state-of-the art locker room, and, man, does it look impressive.

The first day of practice is now in the books, but don’t forget, you can still get yourself involved in @Towson_FB on Twitter by using #AskCoachAmbrose in your tweet.

With that said, @Towson_FB has announced the date for Fan Day at Johnny Unitas® Stadium. On August 11 at 1:00 pm fans have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the 2012 Tigers. Come out for this event; it is sure to be a memorable day.

Let’s Unleash the Roar
Yesterday we took a look at the offensive line, so today we will take a look at who the offensive line will be protecting this year - the quarterbacks.

Everyone knows  the quarterback is the general of the offense, and just like last year the Tigers are going to be led by “General” Grant Enders.

In 2011, Enders earned the right to be the Tigers' starting QB, and his stellar performance makes him the starter entering camp this year.

If you are a frequenter of SportsCenter like I am,  you always hear the anchors describe mobile quarters as "able to extend the play". Enders has that quality in spades and it's what makes him so dangerous. He was second on the team in rushing last season with 387 yards on 91 carries, or 4.2 yards per carry. But if you think Enders is a pure running quarterback, then think Judas Priest...

Yeah, that is right, you got another thing coming. Enders was one of the most efficient passing quarterback in all of the FCS last year. He ranked fourth in the CAA in 2011, averaging 224.4 yards per game, and finished with 2,081 yards and 16 touchdowns.

But the stat that will make not only make head coach Rob Ambrose happy, but also the quarterbacks coach (and Rob’s brother), Jared Ambrose sleep better at night is Enders only threw eight interceptions on 245 attempts. Then again, @Coach_Ambrose did tell Damon Lewis in a recent interview that “I sleep in January” so maybe it won't help him sleep. It sure won’t hurt.

A Look Outside Towson
As we enter into August, the temperature here in Maryland can be downright brutal at times, especially if you have a black helmet, pads, and are practicing on the turf inside Johnny Unitas® Stadium. Rick Couri of Tulsa’s KRMG wrote a great piece about how Tulsa University football staff is helping their student-athletes deal with the heat of camp. Towson might be able to take some pointers to beat the Maryland heat.
