Good morning Tiger Nation, I'm Zach Maskavich and this is the Morning Roar.

I am sure that all of you noticed something different when you logged on TowsonTigers.com, and that is because it got something of a tune-up. Let us know what you think of the new layout on Twitter, @TowsonTigers.

Good news for all of Tiger Nation. The Towson Sports Network (TSN) has gone completely digital. This means that you will be able to stream all Towson Athletics broadcasted events from anywhere in the world (as long as you have internet access) straight from Towsontigers.com or via the Towson Tigers app on your iPad or smart phone.

Let's Unleash the Roar

Unfortunately, the 2012 season did not get off to a good start. @Towson_WSOC dropped their first game of the season losing to DePaul 2-1. Senior captain Cheyenne Skidmore notched the Tigers lone goal.

@Towson_FB has already been in camp for two weeks, if you can believe it.
TSN's Damon Lewis (@TowsonTV_Damon) caught up with safeties coach Brian Fleury.

@Towson_FB also will be holding a intrasquad scrimmage today, which I am very excited about. It is scrimmage is scheduled to start around noon. The TSN crew will keep you updated on Twitter so be sure to be on the lookout for updates. I will also have a report for you in Monday's edition of the Morning Roar.

A Look Outside Towson

Everyone loves playoffs. Seeing the best teams play against one another in a win-or-go-home situation is amazing to watch. Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) fans will have more excitement starting in 2013 when the FCS playoffs will expand from 20 to 24 teams.

Most young athletes dream of one day suiting up for their favorite hometown team. Not only would they like to play for the team they grew up watching, but represent their state in the sport they love. The University of Maine football team has 12 players that are doing just that, hoping to make their state proud.

Countdown to Kent State

The countdown is at 12 days till @Towson_FB starts playing games that count in 2012. The good news is that if you can't make the trip out to Kent State the Office of Alumni Relations and @TowsonTigerClub are holding a viewing party at the U-Club.

Kent State is gearing up for a scrimmage Saturday. Each year, they hold a jersey scrimmage during camp to see who has the right to wear a blue practice jersey. Earlier in the week, multiple reports said that Kent State head coach Darrell Hazell expects to name his starter on Sunday.

The quarterback battle is between three players-- senior Spencer Keith, transfer David Fisher and freshman Colin Reardon. The battle is supposedly neck and neck, but from most of the reports that I have read Reardon seems to be turning a lot of heads by his performance thus far in camp. I will be sure to keep you updated if anything changes or any decisions are made.

Thanks for reading the Morning Roar, be sure to check back for another edition the same time on Monday. In the meantime be sure to follow me on twitter @ZachMaskavich.
