WILMINGTON, N.C. - Returning to action after a two-week hiatus, the Tigers will visit UNC Wilmington this weekend for a Colonial Athletic Association Pod Meet against the host Seahawks, George Mason and Delaware.

The meet will begin on Saturday at 10 a.m. with a pair of sessions before ending on Sunday with one session at 10 a.m.

The Tiger women's team has been idle since earning a pair of victories over Georgetown and East Carolina on October 23 at Burdick Pool. Junior Cari Czarnecki won three individual events and was a member of a winning relay team as the Tigers upped their dual meet record to 3-0 on the season.

After swimming the second leg in the Tigers’ victorious 200-yard medley relay, which posted a time of 1:48.54, Czarnecki won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:04.90. She also finished first in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:04.33 before posting a victory in the 200-yard breaststroke by completing the event in 2 minutes, 22.04 seconds.

Senior Meredith Budner finished first in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:01.54. In addition, she also won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:09.51. Meanwhile, senior Brooke Golden won the 200-yard freestyle by finishing the event in 1:51.87 and finished first in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:59.79.

Freshman Kaitlin Burke took first place in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 58.68 seconds.

Junior Caroline Baker won both diving events for the Tigers, scoring 294.45 points in the one-meter event before posting a score of 301.80 points in the three-meter event.

Despite a win by junior Zac Jelinek won the 50-yard freestyle, the Tigers (0-3) were unable to earn their first win of the season as they dropped a pair of non-conference decisions against Georgetown and East Carolina in a double dual meet at Burdick Pool two weeks ago.

The Tigers dropped a 238-60 decision against East Carolina while Georgetown earned a 159-129 victory over Towson. East Carolina also defeated the Hoyas by a 240-58 margin.

Jelinek won the 50-yard freestyle by completing the event in a time of 21.83 seconds. He also had a second place effort in the 100-yard freestyle (47.88) and earned third place in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:45.32.

Freshman Jacob Huston placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 58.89 seconds. He also had a third place effort in the 200-yard breaststroke by touching the wall in 2 minutes, 12.35 seconds.

After this weekend's meet, the Tigers will travel to Maryland for a double dual meet against the Terrapins and UMBC next Saturday at 1 p.m.
